North Devon Maritime Museum is an extremely rich resource for researchers. We hold a wide selection of documents, photographs and artefacts relating to the maritime history of the area, local towns and villages, and local families.
Whether you are researching the history of a particular vessel, the travels of a local mariner, or your family history in north Devon, we may have records you cannot find elsewhere. You can arrange to visit our archive throughout the year or ask our team to look for information on your behalf (there is a charge for anything beyond a simple search, and for the provision of scans of photographs or documents).
